In October 2008, Camden Haven High School teacher Greg Raffin retired after a 26 year association with education in the area .
“Mr Raffin had previously been the head teacher of english and history at Kendall Central School,” it was reported.
“His retirement ended a career spanning in excess of 30 years.
“Mr Raffin was presented with the Department of Education and Training medallion and mementos from the school, by principal Greg Hyde at a staff gathering.
“After graduating from the University of New South Wales, Mr Raffin began his working career in Western Australia with the exploration division of Western Mining Corporation.
A highlight of Mr Raffin’s career came in 2005 when he was awarded the Premier’s Military History scholarship. This led him to travelling to four countries to study the Japanese attack on Singapore and the Burma Siam railway.
