The Hannam Vale Open Garden Day has been running for 15 years and gives people an opportunity to gain information about the region’s environment.
“Nestled in the Stewarts River valley in the heart of The Three Brother region, Hannam Vale offers you a delightful day,” organiser Anne Campbell-Cross said.
“From cottage gardens, to woodland gardens, well established gardens and work in progress gardens.
“Each lovely garden having the borrowed landscape of the beautiful Stewarts River valley.”
Funds raised from the event go towards the maintenance and development of the Hannam Vale Recreation Reserve.
Interested event attendees can collect a program from the Hannam Vale Reserve, at 1155 Hannam Vale Road on the day.
The cost of the event is $10 per person and children under 16-year-olds are free.
Tickets come with a program to give people access to all the gardens.
There will be breakfast or morning tea available at the Hannam Vale Reserve.
“Our well-loved bush café has coffee, tea , heaps of yummy homemade cakes and slices to get your blood sugar levels up for a day of nostalgic wanderings,” Anne said.
“You can come back to the reserve and enjoy a satisfying luncheon, so bring a picnic rug and enjoy the ambiance under the trees.
“Then browse our market stalls for a great variety of quality plants, preserves, bush regeneration practices and more.
People can buy tickets and a program from the Hannam Vale Reserve at 9.30am on October 21.
The seven privately-owned gardens in the Hannam Vale area will be open from 10am to 4pm.
