A sea snake was also found by a beachcomber earlier this month.
Thomas Mesaglio came across what he originally thought was an Elegant Sea Snake at North Haven Beach on Monday, September 24.
The snake on October 14 was spotted by a member of the public and FAWNA NSW and the Camden Haven SLSC were alerted.
Tony from the Camden Haven SLSC and the FAWNA NSW rescuer helped to transport the snake from the beach to Camvet.
Veterinarian Gavin Rippon conducted an assessment of the snake, before it was released back into the ocean.
“After a couple of aborted attempts in shallow water, it was taken to deeper water where it successfully headed off,” a spokesperson from FAWNA NSW said.
