Madelaine has cerebral palsy and competed in the 12-15 years division for para events.
Madelaine will represent NSW at the 2018 Australian All Schools Championships at Cairns in December.
The news comes after she represented her school at the 2018 2XU NSW All Schools Championships on September 29 and 30 in Sydney.
Madelaine came second in shot put, third in long jump, third in discus, eighth in the 100m and ninth in the 200 metre.
Earlier in September Madelaine smashed state and national records while competing at the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association’s Athletics Championships.
Madelaine travels to Sydney once a month for training with her coach.
When she’s not in Sydney, Kate said Madelaine will skype or send videos to her coach, for advice on her technique.
Madelaine is also a talented swimmer.
