The campaign aims to raise funds for kids living with disabilities, chronic illness or who are facing financial or geographic disadvantage.
The participants will ride the back roads and by-ways from Tamworth to Glen Innes and then make their way to Coffs Harbour, Nowendoc and Walcha before finishing in Tamworth.
The ride through regional NSW is on from November 4 until November 9.
The Camden Haven community will be able to greet the posties as they arrive at Kew at lunchtime on Wednesday, November 7.
Rob Sewell from Camden Haven Marine is a member of the ‘Black Widows’ team. The team’s members have taken part in the event for the past three years.
It’s Rob’s fifth year of postie dash participation. He’ll ride on a bike that was retrieved from the scrap heap and rebuilt for the inaugural event.
Rob thanked businesses and individuals from the community who have donated funds to the charity for the 2018 run.
The Black Widows team is hoping to raise over $27,000 for the 2018 ride.
Variety, the children’s charity, raises money for sick or underprivileged children providing a wide range of services and medical resources not available through government or public channels.
