The 16-year-old suffered some ligament damage during a jumping accident at the show on October 13.
In the lead up to the show Jane experienced success at the State Team Sporting Championships in Queensland.
Jane took part in the campdrafting, sporting and gymkhana events.
On the day of combined events Jane placed third overall out of riders who came from NSW and Queensland.
The day was designed to test the courage, determination and all round ability of the rider, as well as the training and conditioning of the horse.
For campdrafting and the stockman’s challenge Jane came fourth.
Overall Jane placed eighth at the State Team Sporting Championships.
Jane said the accident at the show won’t stop her from getting back on her horse Penny, after her injury heals.
“I’ve been pretty luck up until now and I’ve never had a proper fall where I’ve been injured,” she said.
Jane started riding horses when she was three-years-old and was keen to keep up with children older than her.
“I’ve always been pretty ambitious and competitive,” she said.
“I like going fast.”
Jane’s mum Jody said she doesn’t get worried about her daughter’s riding until the bell rings for the event.
“That’s when my heart gets going,” she said.
“I know she likes to go fast on the horse.”
Jane said she has made lots of friends through the pony club and while competing at events all over the state and in Queensland.
Jane hopes to pursue campdrafting as a career when she leaves school.
