In October 2007, Kendall Community Op Shop officially opened to the community.
Deputy Prime Minister and Member for Lyne Mark Vaile officially opened the shop at Kendall.
Mr Vaile said Regional Partnerships program funding of $43 515 assisted in the completion of stage 2 of the Kendall Community Op Shop, including a new internet fit-out, landscaping and sealing the adjacent car park.
“The Op Shop has played an important role in raising money to fund community-based projects, such as the local swimming pool,” Mr Vaile said.
“Completion of the project has created a safer, more comfortable working environment for volunteers and the new location provides a convenient and central point for people to donate goods.
Mr Vaile congratulated the local community for working together to access Regional Partnerships program funding, particularly the Mind North Coast Area Consultative Committee for helping to bring the project to fruition.
“I would also like to acknowledge the funding provided by the Kendall Pool Committee and the many contributions made by the community.”
