Ray White Laurieton principal Mark Whatson said it’s a great way to help people in the community who are ‘down and out on their luck’.
The real estate will collect gifts for underprivileged children in the area. The gifts will be given to to St Vincent De Paul Society to distribute.
Mark said people should only donate new presents.
“It doesn’t have to be a very expensive present but it does have to be new,” he said.
The items can be wrapped or unwrapped but people need to inform the Ray White team if the gift is for a boy or girl, and nominate an age group.
The real estate will also accept non perishable and in-date food items for the cause.
Mark said being involved in the initiative ‘puts a lump in his throat’, as it’s a very ‘community minded’ cause.
People are asked to donate their gifts or non perishable food items by December 21.
Ray White has run this initiative across Australia and New Zealand each December since 2012.
