Unit members rescued one vessel on Christmas Eve after it broke down.
A spokesperson said the vessel was towed safety back to inside the river.
Recent strong winds, the spokesperson said, have prevented many visiting boats venturing out to sea in the region.
Marine Rescue Camden Haven is urging people to be safe these holidays.
“All skippers need to be alert and stay safe in these conditions,” the spokesperson said.
“Remember to check the weather forecast before thinking of venturing out across bars, remember to log on with the local Marine Rescue unit and don't forget to log off on your return.
“Our radio operators and boat crews are ready to assist if required.”
Marine Rescue Camden Haven unit commander Ken Rutledge said they get a lot of satisfaction out of helping people who need help out on the water.
The unit is available 24-7 to be ready to assist those in need.
Many boaters owe their lives to the members of the unit who ask for nothing more than a thank you for their effort, together with the continued support of our community.
Over the years of operation the unit has attended hundreds of incidents, representing many thousands of man hours of operation.
There have been countless hours raising the funds necessary to keep the unit operational.
For more information or to volunteer people can call the unit on 6559 7356.
