McHugh will be on centre court on Monday night when Rafael Nadal, Milos Raonic, John Millman and Nick Kyrgios continue their Australian summer of tennis campaigns.
The Kendall Tennis Club junior has already been in action on court one at the Sydney International last week.
Club president Wendy Hudson said there are about 80 juniors which make up the NSW ball squad with only 16 selected for the Fast4 tournament.
“It’s a great achievement for him considering its only his second year,” Hudson said.
“He’s a pretty handy tennis player too and it’s a great opportunity to be on centre court.”
The recently-turned 13-year-old is a regular in the Junior Development Series around the Mid North Coast.
Fast4 features four points, four games and four rules, where the first to four games wins the set.
There are no advantage scores, lets are played, and tie-breakers occur at three games all.
