The nation-wide event encourages the community to band together on Sunday, March 3.
The event's founder and chairperson Ian Kiernan AO passed away on October 16, 2018.
Clean Up Australia manager director Terrie-Ann Johnson said every Clean Up volunteer is Ian’s successor and that, like Ian, ‘change starts with you.’
“Clean Up Australia Day is the nation’s largest community mobilisation event, and 2019 is the perfect time to band together in Ian’s honour, celebrate what has been achieved, show your support for his vision and continue his dream to Clean Up Australia," she said.
Sue said it would be fantastic if people with boats and kayaks could help clean up waste from the Camden Haven riverbank.
