The family is devastated after Andrew passed away suddenly last week and is being remembered as an active Camden Haven community member, who loved his sport. 

Andrew’s funeral is on Friday, February 22 at the Kendall Cemetery from 3pm and attendees are invited to the Kendall Citizen and Services Club after the service. 

Andrew was born on June 29, 1989 at the Port Macquarie-Hastings District Hospital. 

He attended Kendall Central School from kindergarten until year 6 and then Camden Haven High School. 

Andrew left school in year 11 and started working in the Pro Shop at what was then the Camden Haven Golf Club (now Kew Country Club).

He represented the school in multiple sports and played Combined High School (CHS) golf for a number of years.

Andrew became the trainee golf pro at Kew Country Club and travelled most weeks to play golf in tournaments around NSW.

He participated in the Jack Newton Junior Golf events around NSW prior to becoming a trainee. He was the captain of the division 1 Camden Haven Pennants Team. He was also part of the Lower North Coast Rep Team.

Andrew played golf at Kew Country Club, cricket for Camden Haven Cricket Club and Comboyne Kendall Cricket Club, touch at Kendall Touch Association, tennis at Kendall Tennis Club, darts for Kendall Services and Citizens Club and footy (league) for Camden Haven Eagles (juniors) and The Kendall Blues. 

Ashlee said Andrew loved his sport, fishing trips out west and singing karaoke to his favourite country music.

“Andrew was extremely funny and always up for a laugh,” she said. 

“He had the ability to be able to get along with anyone.

“He didn’t like fuss or drama.

“Andrew loved a punt, eating pizza, good banter and having a beer (or a few) with his mates and family.”
