The Tourism Marketing Co-op has had it’s first meeting and has developed an action plan to kick some big goals this year.
The group is taking on the development of a new Camden Haven map for visitors that will highlight attractions in our region, digital marketing campaigns and tourism product showcase events.
If you’re interested in getting involved or want to know more about the TMC, get in touch with Anna Battersby (chair) at camdenhaventmc@gmail.com.
Slice of Haven planning is well underway.
Remember to save the date for Sunday, May 26. Slice of Haven is our community’s biggest event of the year, showcasing the cream of the crop in local food, wine and beer.
This year’s exciting theme will be revealed soon. The committee encourages all Camden Haven businesses to get involved and have a stall at the event. Visit sliceofhaven.com.au for more.
Another exciting event coming to town this year is the inaugural Laurieton Multisport Challenge. The event is an initiative of our community group Creek to Creek.
It is an off-road multisport challenge, showcasing our beautiful Queens Lake.
It will be on March 31. For more information visit laurietonmultisportchallenge.com.au.
We’re excited to see the formation of a new Retail Sub-Committee.
The group of local retailers has met and discussed ideas on the beautification of Laurieton, events and attractions to bring more overnight and day visitors to our area, and Christmas celebrations for December 2019.
If you are interested in learning more and getting involved, please come along to the next meeting on Thursday, February 28, from 5.30pm at Top Spot Café, Laurieton.
