A lingering ex-tropical cyclone Oma won't transform back into a full-blown weather fiasco but will still cause hazardous surf conditions in the coming days.

The storm was located more than 1000 kilometres off Brisbane and moving further away on Sunday afternoon.
The low pressure system is taking a northerly turn early this week before tracking northwest in coming days, forecasters say.
"It is unlikely to redevelop into a tropical cyclone but will probably still linger around the Coral Sea and Solomon Islands," the Bureau of Meteorology's Harry Clark said.
Tides have eased back to their usual height and a severe weather warning for monstrous waves may be cancelled on Monday.
But Mr Clarke warned hazardous surf conditions would remain for a number of days, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk repeating her warnings to stay out of the water while conditions are dangerous.
Floods have devastated coastal and inland areas north Queensland region in recent weeks, with 2950 homes damaged in Townsville and more than 500,000 cattle dead further west.
