Even for a self-confessed very poor handyman, getting a sneak peak at the new $43 million Bunnings Warehouse has left me just a tad envious.

If only I knew what I was doing as a handyman, I could enjoy my Bunnings excursions even more.
The new store on John Oxley Drive is expected to open within the next few days.
I have one word for you to describe it: enormous.
One of the Bunnings team members stepped it out at 271 metres in length. Even that doesn't do it justice.
Try these mind-boggling figures.
The store is 18,500 square metres while the entire site covers around 21,000 square metres. For a comparison, the current Lake Road store covers just 7000 square metres.
You can also add to that a six lane timber yard with 28 car parking spots and the 74 aisles plus a dedicated trade centre. Apparently un-handymen like me are not allowed in this section.
There are 458 car parking spaces for the public compared with just 123 at the old store.
The new store has 18 kitchen displays, 10 bathroom displays along with a leisure base.
The tool shop has just tripled in size.
I know, all those tools. If only I knew how to use any of them.
The nursery is eight times the size of the Lake Road site.
Complex manager Jacob Andriessen also said the number of team members has grown from 127 to 207.
"We will be welcoming more than 80 new local team members to the store and that's in addition to the team transferring from the existing store," he said.
"Several of the new team members are also qualified tradespeople, including a mechanic, a flooring installer, two builders, a plumber and a tiler.
"There are also over 60 experts who are skilled in garden care, tools, electrical and flooring."
By the end of the year I aim to know all these experts on a first name basis.
The furthest car park is less than 100 metres from the main entrance.
While you won't need a cut lunch to get to the store from your car, take my advice and get something from the cafe. You will need it.
The store is so big you may need to use a GPS tracker to find each other.
The new store is just the second or third store to have a display of seven special order carports and is just the third hybrid store installed (that's the specialised trade centre, where I'm not allowed to go).
I will get lost for hours. See you in aisle 12.
Hundreds of local tradies converged on the new store for a test drive on Thursday night.
