The official day of the state election is Saturday, March 23, however about a quarter of people in the electorate are expected to vote early.
Nancy Lewis is the early voting manager based at the Camden Haven Scout Hall pre-poll station on Tunis Street, Laurieton.
She said there are 12 reasons under which people can pre-poll for the March 23 election.
These include travelling outside the state, being fearful of personal safety, approaching maternity or located in a correctional centre and prevented from attending a voting centre on election day.
Nancy has been volunteering at polling stations for over 50 years and said this is her fourth pre poll.
Nancy said she enjoys helping people as it's an important right to be able to vote.
"If people are physically unable to come into the polling station, we can take the ballot paper out to their car," she said.
At the ballot draw, Country Labor's Peter Alley drew top spot followed by The Nationals' Leslie Williams and The Greens' Drusi Megget third on the list. Sustainable Australia's Jan Burgess will be listed fourth on the ballot paper.
Voters can opt to cast their vote using the online facility iVote.
The online voting is available if you are blind or have low vision, are unable to vote without assistance or have difficulty getting to a polling centre, are a silent elector, live more than 20km from a voting centre or will be interstate or overseas on election day. People can also vote over the phone.
The pre-poll centre in Laurieton is located Camden Haven Scout Hall, 5 Tunis Street. It will be open 8am-6pm in the lead up to the election and 8am-8pm on Thursday.
There are a number of polling stations located in the Camden Haven on Saturday, March 23 including Laurieton School of Arts Hall, Camden Haven High School, Lake Cathie Community Hall, North Haven Public School, Dunbogan Jubilee Hall and Bonny Hills Community Hall.
