The club has been re-built by Derek Gray and Paul Calicetto, two men who have toiled hard for their club.
The HRDCA first grade grand final saw their young team playing a very experienced Macquarie outfit.
The day belonged to the players of the Camden Haven team.
All season they have approached their cricket with the zeal of youth.
A team of young players led by an excellent captain in Ray Grunsell. Their energy on the field, coupled with their ability, saw them lift the shield for the first grade grand final played on their home ground, Laurieton Oval.
Camden Haven batted and finished their 40 overs with a competitive 7/154.
As he has all season, Layton Gray laid the foundation for the team with an opener's knock of 48.
He combined for a partnership of 92 with Liam Adelt who made 50.
Ray Grunsell added 15 and Ethan Alchin 10.
Macquarie paceman Rashid Hussain took 3/29, Ricky Arnell 2/44 and Tyson Schmidt bowled 8 overs for 1/18.
Macquarie came in and needed 155 for victory.
But wickets tumbled early and kept tumbling.
Craig Roser was 34 not out in a lone hand. The batsmen from Macquarie were troubled all innings by the relentless stump attack from the Camden Haven pace bowlers.
Macquarie was eventually dismissed for just 80 runs, well short of the target.
Layton Gray had the day of days adding 4/5 to his 48. Zac Alchin had 3/11 and Liam Adelt 3/10.
In further good news for cricket in the Camden Haven, the Comboyne-Kendall Blue second grade side scored a comprehensive victory in Saturday's decider.
The grand final was played before a packed Kendall Reserve where the home side took on the strong Port City Leagues Magpies outfit.
Both teams dominated the competition and were fitting grand final combatants.
Comboyne-Kendall Blue batted and made 204. Rhyan Hudson topped scored with a very solid 44 runs with excellent support from Nicholas Brown 38, and 22 each from Connor McHugh and Daniel Minns.
In reply Leagues were all out for 134 with Hudson McCarron returning the best figures of 3 for 27.
Victory to the locals in a perfect end to their season.
The third grade grand final saw Port City Leagues Magpies Swoopers take on their fellow Port City League Magpies side the Scavengers.
The Swoopers remained the only undefeated team in the association's competition this season with a strong victory.
The match was played at Tuffins Lane on Saturday.
The Scavengers batted and were all out for 71. Steve Tinsey was best with 27no.
Their demise was due to Darren Hall reminding everyone of his long career of excellence with the ball. He took 5/9 including a grand final hat trick.
Swoopers made the required runs losing no wickets, John Stace 51no and Rohan Kew 12no doing the job.
