The Hastings League 2019 season kicks off on Saturday with arch rivals Kendall and Laurieton Hotel clashing at the Blues' home ground.

The Stingrays are still smarting from their 2018 grand final loss at the hands of Long Flat and will no doubt be looking for a solid start against the Kendall Blues side.
Captain coach Tom Maguire will be leading from the front particularly with so many new faces in the squad.
During Saturday's Bain Cup preseason competition, eight players made their debut for the club.
They included, Maguire, Lleyton Winter, Cooper Lewis Bain, Sam Black, Bo Wilson, Kieren Ford, Peter Curry and Brenny Carter.
In the Bain Cup preliminary round, the Stingrays scored first with a great try to halfback Ford before the Shamrocks scored a converted try and a penalty to lead 8-4 at the halftime break.
Despite a stirring performance in the second half, Beechwood eventually won the preliminary preseason match 12-4.
Beechwood went on to defeat Long Flat in the final.
In Saturday's first round of the 2019 season, Kendall is at home to Laurieton Hotel, Lower Macleay are at home to Long Flat while Beechwood is hosting South West Rocks.
Comboyne will enjoy the bye.
In round 2 on April 6, Kendall is at home to Comboyne, while Laurieton Hotel will travel to South West Rocks and Beechwood will host Long Flat.
Lower Macleay has the bye.
In round 3, Kendall is again at home to Beechwood while Laurieton Hotel will host Lower Macleay and South West Rocks will be at home to Comboyne. Long Flat has the bye.
There is an Easter break on April 20. before games resume on April 27.
