The presentations were made on Thursday March 21 at the Kendall Services Club.
The auditorium overflowed with interested community members, keen to find out which community groups would receive a grant for 2019.
It was the 10th annual event.
The Op Shop Grants system aims to assist not for profit community groups or organisations that enhance the well being of the community of Kendall and surrounding district.
The grants program began in 2009 and since then an amount in excess of $830,000 in total has been distributed in grants.
Funds are also approved for one-off projects and sponsorships.
In accordance with the constitution, 5% of annual net profits are donated to local and overseas charities.
During the grants presentation, Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams presented the op shop with a NSW Community Service Award.
Mrs Williams said that the contribution of the Op Shop to the community over the past 10 years has been extraordinary, and by nominating the Op Shop for this award she hoped it would acknowledge this contribution, and also provide a source of pride at the shop for the hard working volunteers.
Committee vice president Sheila Ayshford thanked the volunteers for their generous donation of time and expertise to make the shop such an award winning Op Shop.
She also extended acknowledgement and thanks to all those community members who not only donate saleable goods but those who purchase goods.
The evening was a positive reinforcement of the value of volunteering, within the community and the goodwill created within the community when people give freely their time.
