Hosted at Rydges Port Macquarie, tonight (April 5), the local celebrities have been fundraising for the Cancer Council since January to help local people and their families cope with everything that comes from a cancer diagnosis.
Many celebrities have been touched by cancer in some way and feel passionately about supporting the wonderful organisation.
So far the stars have raised more than $55,000 with that number expected to rise as dance day comes closer. In previous years more than $70,000 by dance night.
Currently at the top of the fundraising leader board in Lach Falvey from Falvey Kay Lawyers who has raised nearly $11,000.
"All the dancers and dance teachers have been putting in a lot of hours in the studio perfecting their dances ready for Friday night," Ms Fraser said.
"All our celebrities have been amazing in their fundraising efforts and have really put in time to raise as much money as they can."
Ms Fraser said on the night those lucky enough with a ticket will see a variety of dance styles performed but if you didn't get a ticket don't worry too much.
"Those who managed to get a ticket will be in for a real treat on Friday when they see first hand how hard our celebrities and their partners have been working," she said.
"However for those who won't be there on the night we will be live streaming on our Facebook page the night so everyone will still be able to see how it goes.
"We will also be having audience participation through text voting for people's choice and audience members and those watching online are encouraged to take part in the action."
On the night you will be able to vote for your favourite celebrity in the people's choice competition. To take part people will need to text the name of your favourite celebrity to 0437 371 371 with the money raised going back to the fundraising total of the celebrities.
The MC on the night is inspirational speaker Michael Crossland and providing the behind the scenes action of the green room is Stacey Morgan from Port Macquarie Performing Arts.
"In 2019 the judges will be Port News' own Vickii Byram along with Skye Petho from Arthouse Industries and the lady of dance Helen Richey," Ms Fraser said.
"It will be a great, fun night for everyone involved with all the funds raised going directly back into helping local families and people diagnosed with cancer.
"A huge thank you must also go to everyone who has supported us and the event."
