The group of Bonny Hills artists have come together over the past few years to host the annual exhibition which is now a highly anticipated event on the calendar.
All these artists have met through their art and as members of the Hastings Valley Fine Arts Association. Many of the artists are also prize winning and some have run exhibitions at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery and the Long Point Winery.
Bonny Hills Easter Art Exhibition will run from April 21-28 at the Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club, Rainbow Beach Bonny Hills.
The opening will be on Sunday April 21 from 3pm with official opening from 5pm with live music and nibbles. The bar will be open to purchase drinks. Entry is by a gold coin donation.
Caroline Baker said the exhibition was shaping up to be another great year for art lovers.
"There will be an eclectic mix of works in many mediums, from Brian Barker's expressive watercolours, Jan Wilson's drawings and landscapes to the beach art of Karen Cornish," Ms Baker said.
"Each artist will display a minimum of ten works, some of which are local scenes.
"All art is for sale, with a commission on sales being donated to the club to assist them in their ongoing work within our community."
Ms Baker also said that while there was no binding theme for the exhibition in 2019 people coming along will still enjoy themselves.
"It will be a great exhibition with lots of locals and holiday makers alike coming to see the art on display," she said.
"Many of the works are of objects and places that locals will recognise so I would encourage everyone to come and take a look around."
Opening times of the exhibit: Monday to Thursday and Saturday 10am - 4pm, Friday 10am - 9pm (bar open and music from 5pm), Sunday 10am - 7pm (bar open and music from 3pm).
