The open day will have something for everyone with games, face painting, traditional stalls, entertainment, food and drinks.
During the day, there will be raffles with gifts donated by businesses in and around Port Macquarie.
There will be traditional Devonshire Teas, egg and bacon rolls, a sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and soft drinks. Entertainment will be provided by Sing Australia, the Koala Orchestra, and a ukulele group.
The Koala Hospital commenced in 1973, in Port Macquarie.
While the plight of the koala had not been a happy one, even back then, an extremely far sighted couple, Jean and Max Starr, local shop keepers, setup the Koala Preservation Society a not-for-profit association to run the Koala Hospital.
The Port Macquarie Apex Club built the first little Koala Hospital with two recovery yards adjacent to Historic Roto House.
