A Jackson Harper hat trick helped propel the Laurieton Hotel Stingrays to a 40-6 win over Comboyne in their Hastings League clash on Saturday.

The match was played on the plateau.
While the team will be pleased with the win, the poor discipline and conceding numerous penalties in the first 20 minutes was not part of the game plan.
Despite the poor start, the Stingrays went to the half time break leading 16-0.
With a good old fashioned rocket at the break, the Rays came out and strung a few points together early before Comboyne hit back with a long range converted try.
Try scorers were, Jackson Harper, 3, Lleyton Winter 2 and one each to Cooper Lewis-Bain, Sam Black and Tom Maguire.
Bo Wilson booted three goals and Kieren Ford 1.

Laurieton will enjoy the bye this week with home games against Beechwood on May 11 before taking on Long Flat on May 18.
