The club registered four all-girl teams in its inaugural year of the All-Girl non-competitive competitions within the Football Mid North Coast zone.
Whilst football has always been a sport which could be enjoyed by either gender, this year saw the Redbacks take a proactive approach to nurturing the growth of female participation, fielding all-girl teams in the under 6s and under 7s and two teams in the under 9s competition.
Club president Tamara Burns couldn't be happier with the reception the formation of these teams has received.
"The parents really embraced this idea, and are getting behind it," Burns said.
"It allows our girls to develop at their own pace a little easier, and makes the games a little less daunting, particularly for our youngest ones.
"From all accounts, the concept appears to have been very well received, and we hope we can build on it in future years, particularly as our females enter the competitive competitions."
The concept of all-girl teams is just one of the ways the club is continually looking to improve itself.
"Each year, our volunteers work tirelessly to try and provide the best opportunities we can," Burns said.
"We are continually investing in equipment for our players and training for our coaches.
"Our goal has always been, and will continue to be to create an enjoyable and friendly environment for our soccer players and families, where we hope their love for the game can not only grow, but flourish.
"We're constantly looking at ways we can improve, and thanks to our dedicated committee, coaches and amazing sponsors within the community, we'll be able to continue to do so into the future."
