The Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket was purchased from Eggins Laurieton Newsagency on Bold Street and drawn on Tuesday, May 7.
The winning ticket also won a consolation prize of $1000, rounding up the syndicate's total win to $101,000.
A NSW Lotteries official had the pleasure of breaking the news to the syndicate leader. The man wanted to remain anonymous.
"Are you for real?" he said.
"You beauty! Thank you for such an exciting phone call!
"This is lovely news.
"We've been running this little family syndicate for about 40 years with my wife and two adult children.
"I think they'll be rapt when I tell them we've won $100,000.
"I don't know what we will spend it on but it all helps.
"I'll have to go break the news to the rest of the family."
Eggins Laurieton Newsagency manager Cathy Logan said the win was creating an exciting buzz in Laurieton.
"This is extremely exiting for our lovely little coastal town," she said.
"I've always said it's just as exciting selling a winning ticket as it would be to win it yourself.
"We haven't had a big win in a few years so this is great news.
"We wish this local family all the best."
