The station will be open from 10am to 2pm and there will be free activities including firefighting demonstrations, tours and safety presentations.
Families can also see the fire trucks and equipment up close. They will have the opportunity to chat to local firefighters about the critical work they do to keep communities safe.
Laurieton station captain Les King said the event provided a great opportunity for people to talk to experts about home fire safety in the lead up to winter.
"We see a 10 per cent increase in the number of home fires during the winter months, with more fires starting in bedrooms and loungerooms due to things like heaters and electric blankets," he said.
Captain King said the event was also an opportunity to show people that FRNSW firefighters do so much more than fight fires.
"We do fight fires and save people from burning buildings, but our mission and our capabilities extend far beyond fire response," he said.
"From road crashes, hazardous material incidents and natural disasters to urban search and rescue and humanitarian relief, our firefighters are prepared for anything and ready to help anyone, anytime and anywhere."
