These days nothing works or is made without using some electricity. Think about it. There have for years now been serious issues regarding the cost and availability of reliable base load electricity. What do politicians do when they don't have the answers? They don't mention it. Same for this election campaign. And guess what, there is not even a spark from any of the major players.

The other 'elephant in the room' which has been ignored, is the fragility of fuel supplies and reserves for transport. Country folk will be impacted in particular, if there is a hiccup in fuel supplies.
The alleged balanced budget and millions and billions of promises mean absolutely nothing without immediate and long term solutions for the electricity and fuel issues.
