Camden Haven Dragon Boat paddlers have reeled in the medals during the recent National Dragon Boat Championships in Canberra.

Leslie Faulstone, Anni Yaringa, Junes Hughes, Dave and Chris Napper and Mel Hazelgrove competed in the championships at Lake Burley Griffin.
They qualified as state representatives for Regional New South Wales teams, bringing home gold in the Men's 10s, bronze in the Women's 10s and bronze in the Mixed 20s.
May signals the start of the local northern region regatta season. The Haven Dragons competed at Urunga earlier this month against teams from Newcastle to Ballina.
In a gutsy effort, the 8.5km distance was completed in 47.03 mins by Camden Haven. The time was 1.34 min behind the winners but with fewer paddlers and men on board.
For six of the crew it was their first taste of distance racing.
Five Camden Haven crews entered the 200m sprints the following day. The effort put into training in the lead up to the event certainly paid off with two crews qualifying in finals.
Camden Haven women brought home the second place trophy, in an exciting and close final.
Camden Haven Dragon Boat Club currently has a membership of 78 paddlers and is open to more.
