Attendees lapped up the sun as they made their way around over 70 stalls to hunt down their favourite cuisine.
The event featured a slice of Hollywood flair, through marking 75 years since the world's biggest comedian, Bob Hope, made an emergency landing on the Camden Haven River.
The theme of "It Isn't Hollywood, But ..." honours the 2011 book of the same name by Port Macquarie Hastings historian Mitch McKay.
Trevor Eggins was only a child when the Catalina carrying world famous comedian Bob Hope and fellow entertainers crash landed in Laurieton.
Trevor said he can remember the event very clearly.
Trevor was at Laurieton Public School at the time and said students and staff heard the plane come down.
Everyone raced down to the foreshore to get a look at the commotion.
"People came from everywhere to help dig the plane out of the sand spit and create a channel so that it could be towed to the Mill wharf," he said.
Trevor described the sight of the enormous plane in the sand spit as incredible.
"The plane was gigantic," he said.
"It was a sight all right."
Trevor said Bob Hope was a big star for the era.
Hope and fellow entertainers Tony Romano (guitarist), Jerry Colonna (comedian), Frances Langford (singer) and Patty Thomas (dancer) had been touring the Pacific entertaining US troops serving in WW2.
Trevor remembers the group put on a show for the community at the Laurieton School of Arts during the evening, after word was sent abroad about the crash landing.
"The building was absolutely packed (with people)," he said.
The entertainers were taught the Hokey Pokey dance by members of the community.
To mark the 1944 event, attendees of the 2019 Slice of Haven joined in a reenactment of the Hokey Pokey, much to the delight of youngsters.
Stilt walkers made for a spectacular walking display, the sandpit was a hit with the children as were the rides, balloons and inflatable elephant.
The Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce initiated the Slice of Haven in 2008 as a way to help support businesses and the community.
