The show follows on from recent events at Nambucca Heads, Wauchope, Port Macquarie and Kempsey.
The society's spokesperson John Matthews said the show will feature brilliant blooms of flowering orchids from vivid yellows to delicate pinks, evergreen bromeliads and foliage plants with exotic spikes.
"Some of the genera to be exhibited will be Phalaenopsis, Cymbidiums and Cattleya hybrids and species," he said.
Thirteen classes of orchids will be exhibited, with 70 sub sections to be judged by the NSW Orchid Society Mid North Judging Panel. Show marshalls for the show will be Allan Barnes and Richard Murray.
There will be about 200 plants exhibited by orchid growers from the Camden Haven region, Bellingen, Kempsey, Nambucca Heads, Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
John said the society has gained new members and a special section is open to novice growers to exhibit plants.
There will be potting demonstrations each day of the show at 10.30am. Allan Wallace will present the demonstration on Saturday and Lloyd Edwards on Sunday.
Society members are willing to give their advice on plants suitable to grow in the region.
A society sales table for orchids, bromeliads, foliage plants and accessories will be operated by members.
The show will be open to the public on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 9.30am to 3pm.
The presentation of awards to prize winners will be at 3pm on Sunday.
Entry will be by donation for the Oncology Centre at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
