Edna achieved the award of Medal of the Order (OAM) and said it was a 'very exciting' achievement.
The Laurieton resident was recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List alongside four others across the Hastings - Alan Morris (AM), Bruce Cant (OAM), Robyn Coombes (OAM) and Gerry de Vries (OAM).
In 2018 Mrs Lamb notched up 60 years with the Australian Red Cross.
Over the years Mrs Lamb filled every position on the committee, including the demanding role of secretary from 1969 to 1988. She is a life member of the organisation.
Mrs Lamb joined the Herons Creek Red Cross on June 25 1958. The club amalgamated with the Laurieton Red Cross in 1988 and became the Camden Haven Red Cross.
Mrs Lamb was the youngest of six children and five members of her family were involved in the army.
Mrs Lamb's father Arthur was one of the original Anzacs at Gallipoli. He married Edna's mother Ethel during the war.
Mrs Lamb has been active in carrying out the local branch's fundraisers and was famous for providing her tomato sandwiches at events.
Over the years Edna has formed many close friendships and enjoys the rewarding volunteer work. She will continue to do it for as long as she can.
"It makes you get up and go," Edna said.
In 2018 Camden Haven Red Cross president Jacquie Charman said Edna was known for making tomato sandwiches which were never soggy, her commitment to selling raffle tickets and her kindness.
Edna said the service hasn't changed very much in the time she has been a volunteer, as it is still working to support the most vulnerable community members on a national, global and local scale.
The Australian Red Cross also works to alleviate suffering during wars.
Edna is also a life member of Torchies in Laurieton Group, which she first joined in 1975.
Edna held active roles for the Laurieton United Services Club, where she has been a member since 1977 and life member since 2009.
Edna was also a delivery volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Camden Haven Branch from 1983 until 2007.
