A Queensland woman was killed at a beachfront unit in Victoria within weeks of disappearing eight months ago, police believe.

Shae Maree Francis was also allegedly robbed of her personal items, including a dress, by her accused killer.
Jason Cooper, 44, appeared in Brisbane Magistrate Court on Wednesday accused of manslaughter and interfering with Ms Francis' corpse.
Ms Francis, 35, was last seen at the Hervey Bay hospital when she visited a sick relative in early October 2018.
She wasn't reported missing until March this year.
Police believe she was killed between October 14 and 24 at a unit on the esplanade in Victoria beach town Torquay, court documents reveal.
The address is different to the Torquay address listed as Cooper's on his charge sheet, but is nearby.
Cooper also allegedly stole a dress, make-up case, mobile phone, bank card and identification cards from Ms Francis.
He is accused of interfering with her corpse sometime before December 16.
He appeared in court a day after being extradited from Victoria after his arrest in Bendigo last week.
He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody, with his matter adjourned to July 22.
