Organisers of the Horticultural Speakers Day have thanked many volunteers for helping to bring it together.

"Community members from Kendall and surrounds are well known for punching above its weight when it comes to helping out," Kendall District Gardeners member Richard Cullen said.

"This is well illustrated for the 5th Horticultural Speakers Day on Saturday, July 27 at the Kendall School of Arts.

"It depends for its future success on the generosity and volunteer hours put in by so many folk."

Kendall Men's Shed have made six hardwood teepees for sale on the day.

"Greg Hedley, Brett Morrow and John White got splinters, nearly poked each other in the eye maneuvering the 1.5 metre high tomato stakes to make them," Mr Cullen said.

"People can grow peas, beans, a flowering vine, sweet peas or passionfruit vine on them."

Members from the Global Garden at Kendall School of Arts are holding a store with a varied produce from the garden.

John Van Pierce is set to travel from Kempsey to bring a wonderful collection of plants.

John and Sue are in charge of front of house, flyers and raffle prizes.

The four speakers have been scouted by Christine and Richard, through travelling to many different functions.

Richard thanked Dave Wren and his helpers after they previously produced 130 baked dinners with pudding to follow.

This year Diane Doug will be in charge of the food, with help from Berry, Lorraine, Diana, Annette and Margo.

Entry to the event is $20 which includes morning tea. Children under 12-years-old are free. The event is on from 10am-3pm.

People can also order an $8 lunch which includes soup, a bread roll and tea or coffee.
