"It takes a lot of hard work," June said.
The couple will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on July 16,
They met at a dance hall in Sydney and married when June was 17-years-old and Reg was 20-years-old.
Reg used to make a big impression when he picked up June for dates on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
June said they have achieved a lot together, through raising three children and travelling extensively.
Reg worked in the transport industry while June took care of their children Gary, Robyn and Stephen.
The hardest part of marriage, according to Reg and June is retirement.
"You're apart during busy working lives but when you retire you're with each other 24-7," June said.
June said it's important for each individual in the relationship to have their own space and take up their own hobbies.
June enjoys euchre, bowling and bingo while Reg has recently been working with a personal trainer to improve his fitness.
The couple have had their fair share of arguments and disagreements over the years.
However they know they still love each other, no matter how many harsh words are thrown around.
While there is an old adage that people shouldn't go to bed angry, June said in reality people are likely to remain cranky if there's been a big argument.
"Everyone is different, no one is a clone," she said.
"It's all about hanging in during the tough times."
Reg and June believe that a lot of people are too quick to give up on their marriage these days and not willing to fight for one another.
The couple has eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
June and Reg have lived in the Camden Haven for 39 years and said they are very fortunate to have been able to travel.
They have been to many places in Australia with their caravan and have also travelled overseas.
"We've been everywhere," June said.
The couple will celebrate their anniversary with their family.
