The Southons were picked by the Camden Haven Garden Club, as part of its new program called Homes with Street Appeal.
The aim is to acknowledge the appealing nature of front garden landscapes.
Residents whose gardens are picked by the club's members received a certificate to acknowledge their hard work.
Elaine and Paul Southon moved to their Dunbogan property six years ago from Moree.
"They reckon the time you spend in the garden is refunded to you," Mr Southon said.
"I reckon I'll definitely live to over 100 if that's the case."
The couple were attracted to the Dunbogan property for its resident animals, including koalas and kangaroos.
They removed palm trees on the property and replaced them with a variety of plants and trees.
The couple are proud of their magnolia tree lineup, which looks spectacular when it's in bloom.
Camden Haven Garden Club treasurer Peter Moore said the club has already picked a number of gardens in the area which they believe fit the 'Street Appeal' title.
The recipients will be given the opportunity to feature their garden in a Camden Haven Courier article once they receive a certificate.
The Camden Haven Garden Club members meet every second Monday of the month at Laurieton United Services Club from 10.30am.
