Located near Coles in Haven Plaza, Forgiving Foods stocks natural, organic and eco-friendly products, as well as a growing selection of self-serve bulk foods.
The store has a fresh new look, thanks to new business-owner Susi Kurteff.
A long-term friend and employee of previous owner Nicola Lowe, Susi took over the business after a casual conversation between workmates ended unexpectedly with a handshake.
Since then Susi has been busy putting her own stamp on the place, with help from her husband and a hard-working crew.
Forgiving Foods may have a new owner, Susi Kurteff from Bonny Hills, but the vibe will stay the same, and community health is their game.
In the Wellness Clinic, Nicola is continuing to provide Naturopathy, Biodynamic Craniosacral and SCENAR therapy, along with Remedial Massage.
Susi, Roxanne Fagan, Malcolm Fowler and Diny Khan are also part of the Wellness Team. Susi is a Healing Touch practitioner, and employs an energy-based approach to health and healing.
Roxanne is a Herbal Medicine practitioner and Integrated Iridologist. Malcolm is a Bowen Technique practitioner who uses this gentle style of treatment to target specific problems or address the body as a whole.
Diny Khan consults as a Holistic Kinesiologist, TRE (Trauma Release Exercise) and Swiss/Remedial Massage therapist.
"I try to encourage others to make their health and wellbeing a priority, and to find what works best for them.
"Using natural, chemical-free products is also important."
Forgiving Foods proudly stocks honey, eggs and other delights from local producers, as well as vitamins, supplements, natural soaps and body care.
Carob-coated liquorice and dark chocolate are also on hand for moments when treats are required.
The Forgiving Foods team is keen to reach out and make a positive difference in the community.
On Friday afternoon they will show off the store's fresh new look from 4pm to 6pm, with everyone welcome.
"Call in to sample some products and talk with the experts about how to get your groove back," Susi said.
