A truck fire on the Pacific Highway at Kew is suspected to have been caused by a mechanical fault, says the station commander of Fire and Rescue NSW Laurieton.

Les King said emergency services were called to the incident at about 8pm on Monday, August 5.
Two trucks from Fire and Rescue NSW Laurieton and a Hazmat vehicle from Port Macquarie attended.
NSW Rural Fire Service units from Camden Haven and Lake Innes also responded, as well as police and NSW Ambulance.
Mr King said no one was injured in the incident. The truck was carrying glass.
"The fire was confined to the truck's rear section." he said.
Crews also attended a truck fire on the Pacific Highway at Moorland in the evening on Friday, August 2.
Mr King said the truck fire is suspected to have been caused by a mechanical fault.
The vehicle was totally destroyed as a result of the incident and no one was injured.
The truck was transporting kitchens.
Mr King said he wants to remind members of the public to slow down when overtaking emergency services during an incident.
NSW law requires motorists to slow down to 40km/h when passing a stationary emergency vehicle displaying blue or red flashing lights.
