This month we have walked the main street of Laurieton to inform businesses of the cleaning of the street which will commence in October.
We also discussed the plans for creating a festive atmosphere for Christmas, stretching from December 1, until the Australia day weekend in January.
The opportunity to sponsor a tree has been snapped up by eager business owners who are all keen to join in on the Christmas spirit.
As part of our strategic actions, the Camden Haven Chamber has met with several key community representatives including Leslie Williams MP and mayor Peta Pinson.
We are encouraged by their support regarding the revitalisation of Laurieton, the Beach to Beach Riverwalk pathway, iKew visitor information centre and its value to our community and keeping the Kendall Event centre firmly in view.
We also connected with the Laurieton Probus Club who again highlighted the abundant resource we have in our area - our older generation. There is a wealth of experience and knowledge we could all benefit from.
We are proudly sponsoring the Camden Haven Cup on August 24.
We're excited to be meeting several business and community members this month to discuss event and community project ideas that Camden Haven Chamber may be able to assist with.
We will be supporting the community meeting for Beach to Beach Riverwalk on September 11, from 6.30pm at the Laurieton United Services Club.
Don't forget the Camden Haven Show is on October 19-20.
