Fire and Rescue NSW Laurieton captain Les King said crews attended the small fire in bush at the top of Mill Street.
A trail of smoke could be seen by community members from Bold Street, Laurieton.
Crews from NSW Rural Fire Service and police attended the incident. The fire was extinguished quickly due to the efficient response.
Mr King said crews were also called to another fire near the Queens Lake Sailing Club on Sunday, August 25.
He said that fire was situated in the middle of the bush and crews were called to it in the middle of the night.
The causes of both fires are under investigation.
