It was all smiles and words of encouragement as students from a number of schools took part in the Todd Woodbridge Cup title trials on Friday, August 30.

The Kendall Tennis Club hosted the zone trials and over 96 tennis players from years three and four came from Kempsey in the north to Coopernook in the south.
St Joseph's Primary School Kempsey won the final against Kendall Public School. St Joseph's Primary School Laurieton came third and Port Macquarie Public School came fourth.
The top four teams are set to go through to the regional trials to play off against those from the Coffs Harbour zone on September 20.
Students from Coopernook Public School came fifth in the trials and also came away with the best sportsmanship award.
Children were encouraged to keep track of their own games by taking note of the points, with assistance from parent helpers and club members.
Students shook hands and introduced themselves to others before the matches got underway.
Kendall Tennis Club president Wendy Hudson said she was pleased the predicted rainy weather conditions didn't eventuate and perfect sunny weather prevailed for the event.
The club will host the regional trials on September 20.
From the regional trials the winning team will head to the Sydney in November for the NSW Todd Woodbridge Cup finals.
