As a pensioner, Don said people often don't believe him when he tells them he manages to save.
He lives a simple lifestyle and chooses to help people who need it the most.
Willow and her mum Skye will leave for America in a month, so the five-year-old can undergo a second life-changing surgery in a bid to hear.
The first operation in April was $55,000 and the second surgery on October 1 will cost the same amount. The cost of the surgeries doesn't include travel or accommodation.
Don has previously given the family $2000.
Rotary Australia are supporting Willow's journey and will match all donations up to a total of $15,000 towards her surgery.
To make a donation visit https://rawcs.org.au/donate/ and click on the box 'donate to a specific project'. People will be asked to enter a project number which is 11. A drop down box will ask the year the project was registered which is 2019/20.
