Ken's family owned a butcher store while Pam's had a sandwich shop and Ken said when he first saw Pam he knew she was the one.
"It was definitely love at first sight and we have not looked back since," Ken said.
"Back in those days owning the sandwich shop was a pretty big thing."
The pair married at St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney on November 17, 1952 and had a very special guest in the audience.
"It wasn't really planned but we actually had sir Arthur Fadden the prime minister at the time attend our wedding," he said.
"We thought we were very special."
Ken said after starting their married life in Sydney and having three children the pair moved to Laurieton over two decades ago.
"We have three children and a handful of grandchildren and great grandchildren who we adore.
"When we decided to leave Sydney we did a bit of travelling up the coast to see where we might want to live.
"Back then we had visited Laurieton a few times on holiday and we couldn't find any place we love more than here.
"So we moved and have lived here ever since. We have done so much together and we have travelled all over the world together but we love it here."
Ken said he loves Pam because she is a great cook and they have fun together.
"She is just wonderful. We have had our ups and downs over the years but she has always been the woman for me.
"She is an avid reader, loves to cook and is a great card player.
"I love to fish and between the both of us we always support and look after each other."
Ken and Pam will spend their anniversary celebrating with friends.
Happy wedding anniversary Pam and Ken.
