Hosted by the Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce more than 200 people attended a festive picnic at Laurie Park on December 1.
The picnic was held to signify the start of the Christmas 2019 with the official lightening of the town's Christmas tree.
The whole afternoon was a chance for the community to come together after a few months of hectic fire threats and after a long year of working hard said chamber president Stuart Bate.
"The lighting of the tree community picnic launched our 'Lighting up Laurieton' project which will see the trees along Laurieton Main Street lit with solar powered fairy lights throughout our peak holiday season until January 26," Mr Bate said.
