Lake Cathie-Bonny Hills Lions Club is hosting the Carols by the Lake at the Lake Cathie foreshore on Saturday.

There will be community Christmas carols, Lake Cathie Public School performances, Camden Haven Concert Band plus a visit from Santa.

An evening of family entertainment and a community gathering is a great way to herald in the festive season and bring the Hastings community together after a few tough weeks of fires.

The Carols by the Lake will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 5.30pm-8pm.

You can bring along a picnic rug and enjoy a family night of entertainment and good times.

Santa Claus usually arrive around 7pm and will hand out treats for the children.

Meanwhile, make a diary note for Westport Club's Christmas Under the Stars extravaganza on Westport reserve on Saturday, December 15.

There will be special guest entertainment.
