Laurieton Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate athletes Steven Lee and Hudson Lee both claimed victory in traditional weapons and the 10 years old sumo wrestling respectively at the event which was held in Port Macquarie on November 30 and December 1.
The National Titles had competitors from all over Australia and New Zealand and the two Laurieton athletes were representing NSW after winning their division at the state championships in Sydney.
Steven Lee said he was proud of the result he and his son came away with.
"It was a successful event Hudson won the 10 year old boy National Champion in sumo wresting and he has been putting in a lot of hard work recently," Mr Lee said.
"I also came away with a win in traditional weapons and became the 2019 National Champion which was exciting.
"We have both been selected to join the Australian squad to represent Australia at the World Titles to be held in Portugal in 2020 which is huge."
