That's the message from mayor Peta Pinson as the severe drought continues coupled with the region's population swelling over the holiday season, placing extra pressure on the water supply.
Level 3 "very high" water restrictions have been in force since November 25.
Cr Pinson said given the very high level of water restrictions we currently faced, she encouraged those with visitors over the holidays to please have the conversation with them about conserving our water.
People are urged to implement water saving measures such as watering plants with grey water, turning off the tap while brushing their teeth and having shorter showers.
Under level 3 water restrictions, if your house number is an even number, you can water on even dates and if your house in an odd number, you can water on odd dates, according to the guidelines.
Residential outside water use is banned on the 31st of the month.
Handheld hoses, fitted with a water cut-off trigger or control nozzle, can be used for up to 10 minutes before 9am or after 4pm.
Water sprinklers, micro-sprays and drip irrigation systems are banned.
Car and boat washing, on lawn areas, with a bucket only is permitted at any time, with rinsing only with a handheld hose within the allotted time.

Cr Pinson said there was a slight possibility, if the situation continued to decline, council may need to have an extraordinary meeting in January to review the level of water restrictions up to level four.
The mayor said water was a finite resource and we all needed to do our bit to conserve water.
"In the new year, we will be having serious strategic conversations around our water security," Cr Pinson said.
