The annual festive event brings together the community in the true spirit of Christmas.
Santas of all sizes and ages participated in the event. Even dogs dressed in their best festive attire for the occasion.
Event organiser Jeremy Bate from the Wauchope-Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club said the first event started with about 40 surfing Santas and it has grown exponentially over the years.
Resident Robyn Wilson and her six-year-old dog Murphy dressed to impress for the event.
Robyn said it's Murphy's second surfing Santas event and while he enjoys the spectacle, he will only get his feet wet in the water.
The event on Sunday, December 22 drew many families to the beach.
Hundreds of onlookers watched from the sand as the Santas took to the waves at Rainbow Beach.
There were prizes up for grabs for the best dressed Santa on the day.
