Co-writer, producer and performer Elke Rautenberg is cagey about the exact format, wanting to keep a few surprises up her sleeve for the audience to discover.
I can tell you there are 10 talented performers including a 5-piece band called Sound Bite made up of Mid-North Coast musicians.
"Without giving too much away, Tobi Walker, (pictured) the best sound and lighting technician who works at Sydney's Star City Casino, is our lighting guy," says Rautenberg.
He also has an amazing voice, forming part of the ensemble which includes AJ from Party Professionals, Mark Brown from Martini Brothers, local DJ Jamie Green and Rautenberg's partner in Pure Acoustic, Phil Matthews, who is a Sydney Conservatorium of Music trained classical guitarist.
"Phil knows every Queen song and off the back of Bohemian Rhapsody and the success of tribute shows here, we thought 'we're capable, let's do this'."
There is another mystery performer from Sydney who is part of the second act, but Rautenberg remains tight-lipped. She says it's "epic trying to wrangle them" [all] for a rehearsal.
The concept is evolving and includes a battle of the queens of music - Tina Turner, Adele, Cher, Dolly among them. There are 10 of Queen's big hits including - Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Are The Champions, Somebody to Love.
"There is a little talking, some audience participation, comedy ... a bit of trivia - it's everything that is Queen and more."
The VIP ticket includes a meet and greet with royalty, 2-course meal and drink on arrival and VIP seating. "We wanted to bring back that exciting vibe of going out to dinner and experiencing a show. We want to keep it intimate so we can interact with the audience."
After a sold-out first gig at The Byabarra, this troupe will rock you.
