Hastings Rotaract is inviting the community to a free community fun day on January 18.
The event is set to bring some fun to local communities impacted by bushfires and drought.
The free community day will be at the Kendall Showgrounds from 10am until 2pm and will have free food, drinks and a range of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Hastings Rotaract member and co-organiser Laura Telford said the club was excited about putting on the day at Kendall.
"We are a youth organisation who is passionate about helping the community," Ms Telford said.
"Living in the Hastings, we know how much the recent fires and ongoing drought has impacted the Camden Haven and wider Hastings Valley communities.
"In December we decided to put our heads together and come up with a way to acknowledge all the horrendous things that have happened in our community recently, and show that despite all of that we still live in a great community.
"The Family Fun Day is an opportunity for families and members of the public to come along to the showgrounds to play some old fashioned games and enjoy lunch on us."
The Family Fun Day is jointly supported by the Camden Haven Courier, Hastings Rotaract and the Camden Haven Show Society. It was funded through a Rotary District 9650 grant, with many local businesses coming on board to help make the day possible.
Co-organiser Jack Wilson said he hoped with so many local businesses coming on board the community would come out and let their hair down.
"Kew Corner Store and other local businesses jumped at the chance to support the Family Fun Day and we hope to see lots of people there," Mr Wilson said.
"On the day we will have a jumping castle, water dunking station, face painting, horse shoe toss, giant jenga, scrabble and loads of other games, with lots of free food and drink.
"We are encouraging people to bring a picnic blanket and chair and come to Kendall for the day."
