On January 26 the community is invited to attend a breakfast at Bruce Porter Reserve from 7.30am before a morning of entertainment.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's Lucilla Marshall said the morning was a great chance to come together as a community.
"Australia Day events always start in Laurieton with a breakfast and a citizenship ceremony and is well attended by the community," Ms Marshall said.
"This year we have moved the venue from Middle Brother Mountain to Bruce Porter Reserve as we have outgrown the area. We are so proud that so many people want to come to the breakfast and we hope that happens again this year.
"We are working with the Laurieton Rotary Club and will have the Camden Haven Concert Band play before hearing from Camden Haven HIgh School's student leaders about what the day means to them which will be really special.
"So come on down to connect with the community and start Australia Day events in the Hastings."
Head down to Bruce Porter Reserve from 7.30am on January 26 for the citizenship ceremony at 8am.
